The Gig Harbor Police Department Marine Services Unit "MSU" is responsible for the enforcement of marine related laws on the waters of Gig Harbor Bay and The Narrows.  Our personnel respond to search and rescue incidents in and around our jurisdiction.  Additionally, our officers teach boating safety to local schools and community groups.

We answer many requests for assistance from boaters, provide a point of contact for out-of-town visitors, and investigate several boating accidents each year.  Our 18' patrol boat is also on hand for the various special events that happen on our waters.  Our primary goal is to ensure a safe environment for the boating public.
